Breed-Specific Pet Portrait Pages

Custom Pet Portraits, Tuned to Your Breed

The breed of your pet matters. A Frenchie's bat ears, a Golden's feathering, a Maine Coon's lynx tips, a Persian's round eyes. Each breed page is tuned to honour the exact features that make your specific breed unique.

Breed-specific portraiture has been part of fine art for as long as people have kept pedigreed pets. The earliest oil paintings of dogs and cats from the 1600s already showed breed identity carefully, the Italian greyhound at the Doge's feet, the Maltese on the Venetian lady's lap, the Persian cat curled at the Sultan's pillow. Painters who understood breeds painted them right. Painters who did not, ended up with vaguely shaped animals that confused later art historians.

The same is true for AI portraits today. Generic pet-generation tools tend to flatten breeds into approximations. A Golden becomes a generic yellow Lab. A French Bulldog becomes a smushy generic small dog. A Maine Coon's lynx tips disappear into a generic fluffy cat. The result is a portrait that looks pleasant but does not look like your pet. Breed-specific pages exist to fix that. Our AI was tuned with breed knowledge baked in, so the result honours what makes your specific breed actually look like that breed.

Each breed page collects the same things: an explanation of why the breed is special, the specific features our AI was tuned to preserve, art styles that flatter that particular breed, FAQs tailored to questions actual owners of that breed ask, and reviews from people who own the same breed. So a Frenchie parent reading the Frenchie page sees commentary about brachycephalic features and rare coat colours, not generic dog-portrait copy. A Maine Coon owner reading the Maine Coon page sees commentary on ruff fluff and gentle-giant scale, not generic cat copy.

We start with the four most-requested breeds, Golden Retriever and French Bulldog on the dog side, Maine Coon and Persian on the cat side. These are not the only breeds we paint, of course. Every breed in the world is welcome on the standard dog portrait and cat portrait pages, and the AI handles all of them. But for these four breeds, we offer dedicated guidance, because owners of these breeds ask consistent questions and care about consistent details.

Mixed breeds, designer crosses, and rescues without a known pedigree are all welcome too. A Goldendoodle reader will find useful guidance on the Golden Retriever page. A Cavapoo will find guidance on the Frenchie page when it comes to fluffy small-dog wrinkles. A Maine-Coon-mix tabby with the lynx tips and ruff but not the full size will benefit from the Maine Coon page's ruff guidance. Use whichever page most closely matches the look you want to honour.

Whether your pet is a champion show winner with a full pedigree, a rescue with a mysterious origin, or a designer cross from a beloved breeder, the breed-specific pages will help you find the right approach for your portrait. Start with the breed page closest to your pet, choose your style, upload a photo, and see what three painted variations look like in minutes. No credit card. No commitment. Just a properly breed-aware free preview.

Frequently Asked Questions

About breed-specific pet portraits.

Why do you offer breed-specific portrait pages?

Different breeds have radically different features. A Frenchie's bat ears need different treatment from a Persian's flat face. Breed pages share guidance, FAQs, and examples tuned to each breed.

Can I get a portrait of a mixed-breed dog or cat?

Yes. Mixed breeds are welcome on every breed page. Goldendoodles can use the Golden Retriever page, mixed-breed cats can use whichever breed page most closely matches the dominant look.

Do breed-specific pages cost more than the standard pet portrait?

No. Pricing is the same across every page. Free preview, digital downloads from $9.95, canvas prints from $80. Breed pages exist for guidance, not for upsells.

Which breeds will you add next?

We are continuously expanding. Common requests include Labrador, German Shepherd, Cavalier King Charles, Ragdoll, and Siamese. If yours is not yet listed, the species page works just as well.

Can I include multiple pets of different breeds in one portrait?

Yes. Upload one photo featuring multiple pets together and we will portrait them all in the same painted style, regardless of breed mix.

Will my pet's exact colouring be preserved?

Yes. Every breed page is tuned for the colour range and patterns specific to that breed, including rarer variants like blue and merle Frenchies or smoke Maine Coons.
